A SUMMER programme of ghost walks has been launched in Richmond.
Visitors and residents can enjoy a stroll through the market town while hearing scary stories of plague victims, Arthur and his knights and the legend of the disappearing drummer boy.
Amateur actress Rhoda Fraser will lead the one-hour walks dressed as Frances I'Anson - made famous in the song The Lass of Richmond Hill.
Colin Grant, town manger, who helped devise the walks with sponsorship from Richmond Swale Valley Community Initiative, said: "We have one or two places in Richmond that are definitely haunted.
"The walk is based on folklore and legend but there is a lot of historical content which is very interesting."
The ghost walks start on August 12 and will run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday for eight weeks. The walks start from the Turf Hotel in Richmond at 6.30pm.
The cost is £2 for adults, £1 for under-16s and £5 for families. Call (01748) 825835 for further details.
