CELEBRITY model Nell McAndrew proved she was a star in more ways than one when she gave up her time to help raise funds to fight cancer.
She travelled to RAF Leeming, near Bedale, North Yorkshire, to add her support to a strength-sapping event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Ten teams from a variety of different backgrounds tested their pulling power to the full as they tried to drag a 22-ton Tornado F3 over a distance of 100 metres.
And ultimately victory went to a superfit team from 1 Para which managed to cover the full distance in a time of only one minute and 46 seconds.
The event was the idea of Sal Norde, a front-line navigator from XI Squadron, at RAF Leeming.
She lost her father to cancer three years ago and wanted to do something that would make a difference in his memory.
