A tASTE of the Orient came to the North-East as the Orient Express train pulled into Tyneside.
The Orient Express Northern Belle called at Newcastle Central Station to pick up travellers eager to experience a four-hour journey along the region's coastline.
More than 250 travellers were treated to a five-course meal in one of the train's 1930s-inspired carriages.
With six carriages each seating 42 people, the train steamed from Newcastle to Alnwick before travelling to Berwick and Dunbar.
Guests paid about £170 each for the trip.
