HUNDREDS of people enjoyed a day of music, song, dance and picnics, at the Durham Gathering at the weekend.
A folk picnic held in the grounds of the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery marked the culmination of the Folkworks summer schools.
The event saw a range of musicians who had taken part in the workshops perform again, while prizes were handed out for the most unusual or mouth watering picnic.
There was also entertainment and music in Millennium Place with the grand finale held in the Gala Theatre with a night of Celtic music.
