POLICE are appealing for information about a man who hurled racist abuse at an Asian woman before scratching her car.
The 36-year-old woman was parking her car outside Hollywood Bowl, at Teesside Park, near Stockton, when a man started arguing with her.
At first the argument at about 8pm on Thursday, July 22, was about parking but police say the man soon became extremely aggressive and racially abusive.
After a while the Asian woman, who was shaken by the attack, walked away with three of her friends who were with her.
Shortly afterwards, a woman approached the victim to tell her she had seen the attack and that after the 36-year-old Asian woman had left, the man dragged a key along the side of her black Fiat Punto causing a deep, indented scratch.
Police need to talk to that woman or anyone else who has any information.
The man, in his 20s, was in the passenger seat of a black, Renault Clio driven by a woman in her early 20s.
Anyone with information is asked to call detective constable Dave Clough on (01642) 302388.
