House price inflation rose across all regions of the UK except for the North-East and London, Government figures showed today.
The Office for the Deputy Prime Minister said the increase in the year-on-year inflation rate to 13.9 per cent across the whole country - from 12.2 per cent in May. But inflation in the North-East stood still between May and June, although it was still the highest in the UK year-on-year at 27.6 per cent.
This means that although house prices are still rising steadily in the region, they have not risen more than the previous month.
