PROPERTY services provider Rok announced a 26 per cent rise in pre-tax profits last night.
The company, which recently opened offices on Teesside and in Newcastle, said the North-East bases had contributed to the group's overall strong performance.
Area director Mark Taylor said: "We have established the brand and are breaking the mould."
The North-East team is working on projects including a refurbishment programme at the University of Sunderland and the Lingfield Point business park development in Darlington.
Mr Taylor said: "In addition, we have a long-term award-winning partnering agreement with North Tyneside Council, under which projects in education, housing and leisure are being carried out."
Rok has also been involved in the redevelopment of St James' Park for Newcastle United Football Club, Dalton Park retail outlet and Gisborough Hall Hotel, Teesside.
The company announced record results for the first-half yesterday, including a rise in turnover from £171.8m to £213.5m, up 24 per cent.
Rok, which employs 25 people in Stockton, announced pre-tax profits of £4.3m for the six months ending in June.
