A print company that produces 30 million plastic products a month is keeping up with the latest technology.
A business grant scheme available to small businesses in North Yorkshire has allowed the Ryedale Printing Group, of Kirkbymoorside, to double its production capacity.
The company, a market leader in printing on to plastics, received a £30,000 grant towards the purchase of a colour printer.
The money came from the business development fund, supported by the regional development agency Yorkshire Forward and administered by the county council.
As well as doubling its production capability, the grant has played a major role in ensuring the 52-year-old company keeps pace with the latest technological advances.
The company produces pre-paid telephone cards as well as labels to the horticultural industry and 3-D imaging.
The county's executive member for economic development, Councillor Carl Les, said: "Up to £600,000 is still available to other businesses in North Yorkshire and we would like to encourage more local companies to come forward to take advantage of this scheme."
