THE seaside is moving inland to Bishop Auckland next week for a family fun day in the town centre.
Children are invited to take along their buckets and spades, and watch sand sculptors create sea creatures.
There will also be face- painting, balloon modelling and arts and crafts sessions, as well as free entertainment from Llewellyns Puppets, the Fairly Famous Family and tightrope walker Dr Southall.
Three half-hour performances will be staged during the event on Sunday, August 22, from 10.20am to 3.30pm.
The fun day is being supported by Bishop Auckland Town Centre, Wear Valley District Council and the Children's Fund.
