THE jobs of more than 300 workers at a door manufacturer are under threat after the group went into receivership.
Home Doors GB, in Peterlee, County Durham, a subsidiary of West Midlands-based BHD, is in the hands of administrative receivers from accountancy firm KPMG.
Receivers said no workers had been made redundant yet, but said the situation was under review. They would not rule out job losses.
BHD and its four subsidiaries have all gone into receivership. A fifth subsidiary, shower maker Aqualux, was saved following a management buyout.
BHD is a conglomerate that was founded in 1984 to supply the home improvement and building markets.
These groups have a combined turnover of about £70m and trade from various sites in the Midlands and the North.
