POLISH motorcycle trials star Tadeusz Blasuziak received a wake-up call from Lampkin Beta rider Ian Austermuhle at the fifth round of the European Trials Championship at sultry Hawkstone Park last Sunday.
The Rosedale university graduate completed the tough event and was only three penalties away from recording a shock victory.
Sheffield's Chris Pearson and Dan Farrer topped the International results ahead of Richmond's John Sunter.
Katy Sunter finished 16th in the ladies championship with a loss of 102 marks, while Northallerton's Becky Rennison and Kathryn Wardle topped the podium in the ladies youth class.
