YOUNGSTERS are being invited to try science activities as part of an event in a seaside town.
Scarborough Borough Council is running the Science Crazy event at the town's Rotunda Museum.
It takes place next Friday, from 2pm to 4pm, and is part of the council's Local Heroes project, to find out if the father of geology, William Smith, the father of flight, Sir George Cayley, and whaler and scientist, William Scoresby was the town's hero.
An exhibition about their lives, experiments and discoveries is on show at the Rotunda Museum until the end of the year.
For details on the display, call (01723) 374839.
