JOEL Porter has taken a shine to playing in front of the TV cameras.
Hartlepool United's Australian striker netted his last goal for the club in the televised play-offs with Bristol City - and that came after he opened his account in England against Burton Albion, a game televised live by the BBC last December.
Now, as Pool go to Huddersfield Town, in front of the Sky Sports cameras tonight, Porter is desperate to nab his first of the season.
"It's another big occasion for us all, it's a game being televised again, so it's a chance to show people what we can do,'' said Porter.
"I've scored a couple of goals in front of the cameras and it would be nice to do the same again. Hopefully, I will get the chance.
"We had six days off after two quick games and maybe the extra couple of days will have done us some good.''
Pool started the season with a win over Bradford, before losing at Tranmere six days ago.
But Neale Cooper's side have had a couple of extra days break after the visit to Prenton Park, before they play five times in the next 13 days.
Porter arrived at Pool last season after missing out on a pre-season campaign as he tried to earn a contract in England.
And the Aussie admits he is feeling the benefits of a hard summer programme.
He said: "It's always difficult playing in the heat after a hard pre-season.
"I know I needed a good pre-season campaign. I think I have trained well with the lads and, even though it was very hard going at times, I think I will feel the benefits.
"I feel much fitter than I did last season, I'd like a little more match sharpness, but that will come with more games.
"It's four years since I've had a full pre-season programme, this one was very different to anything I have done in the past.''
The weekend programme dumped Pool into 17th spot, lower than at any stage they were last campaign.
And Porter admitted: "It was very disappointing to lose at Tranmere last week, no-one wants that.
"In the first-half we were a bit flat, but played a lot better in the second-half. I think we were a bit unlucky to concede the second goal and the penalty decision was harsh.
"We had plenty of ball in their area in the second-half when we chased an equaliser, but it just wouldn't fall for us.
"Tranmere are one of the favourites for the title and we went there and more than matched them.
"They were happy to hear the whistle go.
"They are expected to do well this season, but we have proved on many occasions we area good side ourselves.
"We had a good win on the opening day and the idea was to get off to a great start by winning at Tranmere as well.
"We weren't disgraced by our efforts and now everything is aimed towards Monday night.''
Huddersfield drew 0-0 with Chesterfield last Tuesday and boss Peter Jackson said: "I am expecting a very tough game against Hartlepool, who were the surprise team in this Division last season.
"They reached the play-offs, so I am expecting the game to be a good indication how successful we will be this year and how far we have come."
