A SCHEME has been launched by the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs (YFC) to give former members the chance to put something back into the organisation.
The federation is appealing to all ex-members, associates and supporters to find out more about the Friends of Yorkshire YFC scheme.
During the past 30 years the federation has offered thousands of young people the chance to develop friendships, learn new skills and take part in a host of activities.
But it has come at a cost and the federation is now looking at ways of increasing its revenue.
Rachel Wilson, the county chairman, said: "We are offering past members and supporters of the movement a chance to put something back into this extremely worthwhile organisation and therefore allow future generations the chance to experience the same benefits and opportunities of those members before them."
In return for an annual subscription, Friends of YFC will receive several benefits. These will include twice-yearly news bulletins and annual handbook and entry in to a quarterly cash draw.
Subscription costs £15 per person or £25 per couple and money raised will fund training and events for the current membership of more than 1,500 young people.
