A WOMAN is to confront her fear of heights to help raise money for a leukaemia charity.
Lisa Nicholson, of York, was inspired by the plight of her three-year-old niece, Kayleigh Nicholson, who has leukaemia, to take part in a 10,000ft sponsored parachute jump.
Ms Nicholson will take the plunge at an airfield near Bridlington to raise money for the Candlelighters charity.
She said: "I'm absolutely terrified. I must be mad, but it's something I've always wanted to do.
"Kayleigh is doing really well at the moment."
Anyone wishing to sponsor Ms Nicholson can contact her on (01904) 731304.
