A CHARITY dog show at the weekend was a big success, raising about £600.
The event, organised by Skernedale Dog Training Club, was held at Hurworth Grange, Hurworth, near Darlington, on Sunday, and attracted lots of spectators as well as entries.
The event included pedigree classes as well as novelty events, including the dog with the saddest eyes, waggiest tail and the best biscuit catcher.
It was held to raise money for the Cinnamon Trust, a charity that helps elderly owners of dogs, as well as the Bryson Animal Centre, in Newcastle, and Tiny Paws Rescue Centre, on Teesside.
Pam Emmerson, who organised the event, said: "It was fantastic. We hold the event each year, but it was really well attended this time and we hope to have raised around £600."
