COUNCIL chiefs are to discuss the downsizing of a £4.8m scheme to provide an education centre.
The development on the Skerne Park estate, in Darlington, faced difficulties when it emerged the project was running over-budget.
Governors of the primary school it will replace agreed to a reduction in the size of the project to accommodate fewer pupils than the 420 originally planned.
Darlington Borough Council's lifelong learning scrutiny committee will meet on Monday to discuss the development.
