A CANCER charity is looking for runners to champion their cause in this year's Great North Run.
Marie Curie Cancer Care provides free nursing to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home surrounded and supported by loved ones.
The charity is hoping to boost funds by encouraging people to take part in the run on their behalf.
Community fundraising manager Linda McDonough said: "We would like to ask those who have a place in the 2004 Great North Run but have not yet chosen a charity to support if they would consider choosing Marie Curie Cancer Care.''
