The Royal Shakespeare Company is bringing Julius Caesar to Northallerton from September 14 to 18.
It is the fifth time the company has brought its touring show to the town and it is expected to play to capacity audiences at Hambleton Leisure Centre.
The RSC has chosen Northallerton as the first date on an extensive UK tour.
There will be a complementary programme of education work run by the company's creative support leader Victoria Grainger.
A pre-matinee event will also take the audience behind the scenes on September 17.
The company will work with students from Northallerton College, Bedale High School, the Allertonshire School and other local amateur drama groups.
A captioned and audio-described performance for those with hearing and visual impairments takes place on September 16. Tickets for shows are £22 and concessions are available. Contact the box office on (01609) 777070.
