THE business park which houses the headquarters of regional development agency One NorthEast will soon be home to a nursery catering for 100 children.
The Waterfront development, at Newburn Riverside, Tyneside, has announced the provision of a 6,500sq ft nursery.
Gary Hudson, development director of UK Land Estates, said: "We are thrilled to announce the go-ahead of Places for Children to provide childcare facilities at Newburn Riverside.
"Nurseries are fast becoming an integral part of any family's working life. With the success of The Waterfront and the demand for childcare requirements from the surrounding area, Newburn is an ideal location for a nursery."
Newburn Riverside is a 220-acre site reclaimed by One North East in a £46m clean-up.
It houses offices of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Northumberland and Tyne and Wear Strategic Health Authority.
