a group of staff and friends from a residential home in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire put their best foot forward for charity. They pulled on their walking boots and hiked nine miles to raise cash for St Catherine's Hospice in Scarborough.
The team from the Hall at Thornton Dale, near Pickering, has tackled a long walk for charity for the last eight years on the trot.
This year's effort raised £500 after they followed a route from Helmsley, up Riccaldale, through Pockley, Howldale and Beadlam and finished up at Wombleton.
Over the years, the group from the home has raised more than £3,000 for charity.
