A CAMPAIGN group is offering help to businesses to get to grips with new laws on access for the disabled.
Disability Action in Richmondshire is urging firms to ask for assistance, ahead of the Disability Discrimination Act becoming law in October.
Development worker Linda Curran said: "We want to get better access for the disabled.
"If you have not audited your premises by October 1, you are not complying with the regulations."
The organisation has already run workshops in Leyburn. Managers met disabled people and found out what access difficulties they faced. Another event is planned for Richmond later this year.
