THREE men will return to court next month facing possible prison sentences after a man had his ears bitten during a pub fight.
Brothers Jamie Robert and Stuart Taylor have admitted involvement in the attack, in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, which left the victim requiring emergency surgery.
They appeared at Durham Crown Court with co-accused Anthony Edward Millburn, who disposed of evidence.
All three are from Newton Aycliffe.
Jamie Robert Taylor, 30, of Greathead Crescent, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Stuart Taylor, 25, of Osric Place, admitted making threats to kill and assault causing actual bodily harm.
Millburn, 23, of Stargate Close, admitted perverting the course of justice by washing clothing and hiding a knife.
The incident took place late on April 9 and followed a fight in a pub in Newton Aycliffe.
Barristers for all three requested the preparation of reports prior to sentence.
Jamie Hill, representing the elder of the Taylors, said: "He understands, though, that he will receive a custodial sentence of some length."
Judge Richard Lowden agreed to the request and adjourned sentencing until Friday, September 3.
Both Taylors were remanded in custody. Millburn was granted conditional bail.
