MUSIC fans will soon have their say in selecting the next big thing in a competition run by The Northern Echo.
Online voting will begin on Saturday to pick the four finalists in the Big Chance music contest.
The competition, run by music website Revolution in association with TFM Radio, is designed to find the best new North-East group or artist.
The winner will receive four days in the Sanity Multimedia recording studio, in Stockton, 100 pressed CDs, artwork and money towards printing.
Artwork for the winning CD will be done by Middlesbrough advertising agency House of Type.
Judges are in the final stages of selecting the best ten tracks from this year's 64 entries..
The tracks will be uploaded on to Revolution early on Saturday morning, in time for voting to begin.
Online voting will close on Wednesday, September 1.
The four entries receiving the highest number of votes from the public and judges will play at the Big Chance final on September 24 at The Forum, in Borough Road, Darlington. The gig will be hosted by TFM DJ Cara Pattison.
The Big Chance is sponsored by Music Zone, Blackett Hart and Pratt, Air Clothing and The Forth Chamber.
