RESIDENTS are being urged to voice their concerns about crime and disorder.
A survey by the Safer Communities North Yorkshire Moors and Coast partnership is being carried out in Scarborough and Whitby.
Drew Fussey, the scheme's crime reduction and anti-social behaviour co-ordinator, said: "We are gathering people's opinions to see how they feel about where they live.
"We need to know what people worry about, what causes them concern in their local community and what could realistically be done to make things better.
"At the end of the day, we are looking to reduce crime and, where possible, the fear of crime. We want to get to the real issues, the real causes of concern for people in the borough. Only by determining that can we work on solutions."
Every resident who fills in a questionnaire will be entered in a £100 prize draw.
A roadshow highlighting the work of the partnership will be held on Tuesday, August 31, in Whitby railway station car park. To receive a questionnaire, call (01723) 383648.
