THE Market Place in Bishop Auckland was taken over by cars for the town's second motor show.
Friday's event was so successful that the organisers have already signed up dealers take part in next year's show.
Eight car dealers from throughout the region exhibited 46 vehicles in the Market Place, attracting a steady flow of shoppers and visitors throughout the day.
Other organisations which attended included St John Ambulance, Age Concern and Bo Peep, which had a stand featuring model cars.
Bishop Auckland town centre manager Derek Toon said: "The Market Place was absolutely jam- packed with vehicles.
"I spoke to all of the dealers afterwards and every one of them said that it had been worthwhile coming along.''
Last year, four dealers took part in the event.
