A COUNCIL'S old computers are being given a second life helping young people set-up businesses and undertake further education.
North Yorkshire County Council has given 50 computers to the Prince's Trust, after replacing the machines with more modern equipment.
Councillor Carl Les, executive member for corporate services, helped load the van.
He said: "The county council is very happy to donate the computers to such a valuable and worthwhile cause.
"It supports the Prince's Trust financially and in other ways and we hope that the young people who use them, enjoy doing so and gain the benefits of training, or indeed employment," he said.
Angelika Kitching, general manager of the Prince's Trust North Yorkshire, helped load the van.
She said: "The trust is extremely grateful to the county council for donating so many valuable computers to be used by our young people in obtaining further education, employment training, or indeed setting up small businesses."
