PIECES from the region's finest collection of lace work will be on display this weekend.
The Beamish Museum, near Stanley, County Durham, will show off highlights from its extensive collection of lace on Saturday and Sunday.
Along with the exhibition of bobbin lace, needle, machine and applique lace, members of Northumbrian Lacemakers will be demonstrating traditional techniques.
Yesterday, visitors were treated to a display of quilts and a quilting demonstration at the museum.
