Primary care trust staff in County Durham are to be given pedometers as part of a scheme to boost healthy living.
The 11 members of staff from a number of departments within Sedgefield Primary Care Trust are being urged to use the small electronic devices, which count every step they take, so that the results can be used as a foundation for future healthy living projects.
A trust spokeswoman said: "We hope by issuing the pedometers it will help encourage people with predominantly sedentary lifestyles to become more active."
