Music fans can have their say in selecting the finalists in The Northern Echo's music competition.
Online voting began on Saturday and closes on Wednesday, September 1.
Fans can vote and help choose the four finalists in the Big Chance music contest by logging on to The Northern Echo's music website, Revolution.
The ten shortlisted entrants are: Ska Doesn't Pay, by Ask My Cat, from Darlington; Twist and Turn by Cress, from Burnopfield, County Durham; Rescue You, by Dave Relton, from Richmond, North Yorkshire; Alive, by Dexter, of Darlington; Lights Out, by Jarrow's Freerunner; Come Along, by Jamie Sample, of Middlesbrough; Get Off, by New Wave Sound, from Shildon, County Durham; Alone, by The Eye Jab, of Hexham, Northumberland; No Joke, by The Fray, from Darlington and Let Me Know, by The Modes, who are based in Durham.
The competition, held in association with TFM Radio, is designed to find the best new North-East group or artist.
The winner will receive four days in the Sanity Multimedia recording studio, Stockton, 100 pressed CDs, artwork and money towards printing.
Artwork for the winning CD will be carried out by the Middlesbrough advertising agency House of Type.
The four entries receiving the highest number of votes from the public and judges will play at the Big Chance final on September 24 at The Forum, Borough Road, Darlington.
The final will take place at The Forum and will be hosted by TFM DJ Cara Pattison.
Title sponsor this year is Music Zone. Other sponsors are Blackett Hart and Pratt, Fourth Chamber, and Direct Clothes.
