A WEBSITE has been launched to allow Ryanair workers to speak out against management anonymously.

The International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) said www.Ryan-be-fair.org will protect the rights of the budget airline's staff and provide an opportunity to discuss work conditions and any problems they face.

It was launched following alleged concerns that staff were afraid of asserting their rights for fear of jeopardising their jobs.

Michael O'Leary, Ryanair chief executive, has always refused to recognise unions.

David Cockroft, ITF general secretary, said: "This is a new campaign tool for an old problem. For as long as there have been trade unions there have been employers who try to bully workers away from them. We are here to find ways to prevent this.

"We have been told that people are afraid to speak in some Ryanair workplaces. As far as we are concerned, that stops now.

"If Michael O'Leary will not allow a forum where Ryanair workers can freely make up their own minds, then the ITF will - even if their decision is to tell us to get lost."

He said that one of the first visitors to the site was likely to be Mr O'Leary, closely followed by his lawyers, but claimed he was welcome to look.
