Bosses at a visitor attraction have launched a nationwide search after finding themselves short of bricks to complete a £850,000 restoration project.
Paul Radcliffe, head gardener at Helmsley Walled Garden, in North Yorkshire, said they needed 3,000 more.
He said: "We want to use bricks that match, but the builders have searched all their usual sources without success. We are getting desperate and it's getting to the stage now we're its going to delay the project."
Mr Radcliffe said it would be too costly to have replicas of the 1910 wire clamp bricks made to order.
The bricks are needed for work on greenhouse outbuildings and potting sheds. To help call (01439) 771427
