HUNDREDS of ramblers will head for the Yorkshire Dales at the weekend for the Boots and Beer Walking Festival.
This year's event in Wensleydale will form part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park's 50th anniversary celebrations.
A total of 12 walks will take place over the two days, starting from either Hawes or Bainbridge.
On Saturday evening, a Boots and Beer Bash will be held at the Wensleydale Creamery visitor centre, in Hawes. The event is a sell-out, but those without tickets can join the free Boots and Beer Music Trail, around the pubs of upper Wensleydale.
