THE Darlington branch of the Parkinson's Disease Society is holding an information event today.
Visitors to the Carmelite Convent, in Nunnery Lane, will be offered professional advice on coping with the condition. The event was set up to help get newly-diagnosed patients to join the local group.
There will be a range of medical professionals available throughout the day, including dieticians, speech therapists and physiotherapists.
Representatives of social services, Growing Older Living in Darlington, Darlington Association on Disability and other groups will also attend.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm.
