COUNCILLORS have agreed to pay the remaining money owed to a company for the provision of a village playground once a new drain has been installed.
Middleton St George Parish Council still owe £5,945 to Wicksteed, the firm responsible for installing equipment at the village's play area.
Members agreed at a meeting on Monday to pay the outstanding amount once Wicksteed has installed a drain at the site, which it agreed to carry out next week.
Members had expressed concern about the hazard of overlying water on the tarmac surface of the play site following heavy downpours.
