TWO students have fought back after failing to gain good GCSE results.
Hartlepool teenagers James Thomson and Scott Rutherford enrolled on a GCSE Foundation course at Hartlepool College after disappointing exam results.
Now 17-year-old James is on course to become a teacher and 16-year-old Scott hopes to go to university.
James studied English, psychology, sociology, mathematics and science at the college, passing all five. He has now started three A-levels at the college. He said: "The college is a good place to study because you are treated like an adult."
Scott also passed his course and is now studying a media course at the college.
