A concert is being held to raise funds for charity on behalf of three brave schoolchildren.

The aim of the concert, organised by The Marske Town Centre Partnership, is to raise money for charities relevant to three youngsters from St Bede's RC Primary School, in Marske, near Redcar.

Pupils Kate O'Donnell, five, and Corinne Woodcock, eight, have suffered from brain tumours and Tom Holt, seven, is undergoing leukaemia treatment.

Money raised will go to the charities that help the families of the three children, including The Katie Trust, The Crawford House Trust, and The Anthony Nolan Trust.

The outdoor concert, which starts at 2pm on Saturday, will star the Newton Aycliffe Pipes and Drums Band and include dancers and stalls.

It will be held in the grounds of the Cheshire Home, Redcar Road, Marske.

Entrance is £3, £2 for pensioners and £1.50 for children aged 14 and under.

Tickets are available from the shop counter at Marske Post Office, by calling Mike Findley on (07950) 012803, or at the gate.
