A FILM made by young people about their lives on a Wear Valley estate is being shown for the first time next week.
A group from the Woodhouse Close Estate, in Bishop Auckland, made the video with artist Jane Crawford, from Daisy Arts.
Filming followed a hard hitting writing and photography project Postcards from Woodhouse, which was shown in Bishop Auckland Town Hall last spring.
Zoe-Ann Featenby, age 13, said: "People put this estate down, but they don't even know the place properly. It's not what it looks like, it's the people that live on it and I think we all deserve more respect."
A premiere event is at the Town Hall on Wednesday, with a pre-show reception at 6.30 and screening from 7pm.
