PEOPLE in Hartlepool are being reminded not to miss the chance to get more involved in how their town is run.
Elections will take place next week to choose resident representatives to serve on the town's North, Central and South Neighbourhood Consultative Forums.
Resident representatives on the forums are able to air their views about community issues and plan improvements.
They are also given a say as to where money provided through Hartlepool Borough Council's minor works budget should be spent.
The dates, venues and times of next week's elections are: South Forum - Tuesday in the Manor Residents' Association Building, in Kilmarnock Road, at 6pm. Central Forum - Wednesday, in the Council Chamber at Hartlepool Civic Centre, at 6pm. North Forum - Thursday at West View Community Centre, in Miers Avenue, at 6pm.
Eight resident representatives are needed for the North Forum, ten for the Central Forum and seven for the South Forum.
To be eligible to stand for election as a resident representative, people must be aged 18 or over and live in Hartlepool.
All completed nomination papers must be returned to Hartlepool Civic Centre by 5pm on Monday.
