PEOPLE living in Darlington are being offered the chance to be at one with nature this weekend.
The borough council has arranged countryside events in the town for both today and tomorrow.
Participants will be asked to clear an overgrown area at the Whinnies nature reserve today, from 10.30am to 3.30pm, and are advised to wear suitable clothing. The meeting point will be by the reserve's entrance on Yeadon Close.
The council's countryside team is staging a seven-mile walk tomorrow, over Coniscliffe Moor to High Coniscliffe and back along the River Tees. Meet at the lay-by near the Baydale Beck pub, on the A67, at 11am.
