A FIRE which damaged a house was probably caused by arsonists, firefighters said last night.
The fire started in the floor boards of the house in Wilton Avenue, Dormanstown, near Redcar, east Cleveland, yesterday.
There was fire damage to the floor and slight smoke damage to the ground floor of the building.
* Firefighters were called to a kitchen fire in Coatham Road, Redcar, at about 3.30pm yesterday.
The fire was caused by a pan being used to cook food, but it had been put out when firefighters arrived. The flat suffered slight smoke damage.
