RESURGENT Darlington Football Club throws its doors open to the public tomorrow - as part of its efforts to work with the community.
The Quakers are hosting an open day at the Williamson Motors Stadium, starting at 10am, with a range of activities lined up for supporters and visitors.
They will be able to take behind-the-scenes tours of the Neasham Road venue, see exhibitions from the Army and emergency services, and enjoy children's entertainers and a TFM Radio roadshow.
First-team players will also be attending the event, posing for pictures and signing autographs.
More former Quakers stars will also be honoured when their names are attached to corporate boxes.
The club has already named suites after famous ex-players Ron Greener and Kevan Smith.
The event is integral to the club's hopes of returning to its community roots.
Those efforts continued this week as the Darlington Partnership met for the first time at the stadium.
Quakers' chief executive Andy Battison told the meeting: "We are determined that Darlington Football Club becomes part of the fabric of the town.
"We are determined to bring the club into the mainstream community."
Further talks are due to be held on Monday about establishing a study centre in a corner of the ground.
Club officials have already seen examples of similar schemes at Newcastle United, Middlesbrough and Leeds United.
Mr Battison also used the meeting to praise Darlington Borough Council for its support of the club.
Council leader John Williams said: "We want you to succeed and our commitment is to continue to work with the club."
