YOUNGSTERS have been having fun test-driving toys in preparation for the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
The annual nationwide event will raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief on Friday, September 24, from 9.30am to noon.
George Turton, who deals in second-hand toys, is one of the stallholders who will be exhibiting at the village hall in Knayton, near Thirsk, in support of the local Macmillan committee.
Local fundraising manager Wilma Burniston said: "Last year, over 1.5 million people attended coffee mornings and raised Macmillan over £4m.
"This staggering amount was raised through the kindness of people who, either in the community, at home or at work, decide to give of their time to hold a coffee morning to help people with cancer."
Anyone interested in holding a coffee morning as part of the event is asked to contact Wilma on (01325) 370870.
