A THEATRE group is gearing up for its annual festival.
The 29th Sedgefield Players' Drama Festival of One-Act Plays, at Sedgefield Parish Hall, County Durham, from September 28 to October 2 will include eight performances.
Opening the festival will be Sedgefield Players Youth Section, performing Die Kinder by Liz Sharp. The Players' senior section then perform The Him and I, by Richie Parry.
On September 29, Cliffe Theatre will perform A Man of Letters by Tim Firth, followed by the Sedgefield Players with That's the Way To Do It, by Alan Butler.
September 30 sees Masham Players with two offerings, Goodbye Casey Burnside, by Don Hill, and Cash and Carrie, by Nicholas Corder.
On October 1, Durham Dramatic Society presents The Proposal, by Anton Chekhov. The Statement Drama Company ends the programme with What Are You Doing in There? by Shel Silverstein.
Mike Kaiser, a member of the Guild of Drama Adjudicators, will judge the competition on October 2.
The programme each evening starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 (concessions £4.50) with season tickets at £15 (concessions £13.50). Saturday night tickets are £3, including buffet. Tickets are available from Selections in Sedgefield, or by ringing (01740) 620091.
