FIREFIGHTERS took a well-earned breather from their duties - to raise a cup in support of the fight against cancer.
The 999 crews in Northallerton enjoyed a break in support of the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
The annual charity event, on September 24, is in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief, and last year about 1.4m people took part, raising more than £4m for the charity.
Fundraising manager Wilma Burniston said: "A cancer diagnosis turns people's lives upside down. It not only affects them deeply, but also the family and friends who love and care for them.
"For years, Macmillan Cancer Relief has been there to offer help and support to people when they need it most. Holding a coffee morning is a simple way to help us continue this work."
