WALKERS are invited to turn out in force this weekend to help launch Durham's newest walkway.
The West Bowburn Way has been created by Durham County Council, the local parish council and the Parish Paths Partnership.
Two circular routes, of 2.6 miles and 3.5 miles, have been created across fields and through woodland.
The walkway will be launched at an event on Saturday, which gets under way at 11am from Bowburn Community Centre. Participants are encouraged to take waterproofs and boots. Refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk.
