HUNDREDS of jobs are in the shop window when employers set up stalls at Auckland Castle on Thursday.
Jobcentre Plus has teamed up with the Wear Valley Action team and Job Brokers for a Jobsfair offering work opportunities and advice.
Asda, Marks and Spencer and Morrisons are looking for full and part-time workers and will have information about vacancies.
Mike Sharp, recruitment consultant for Jobcentre Plus, said: "People may be unemployed, facing redundancy or just fancy a career change.
"Apart from the chance to meet employers face to face, they can even apply for jobs and training on the spot."
Action team advisors, job brokers and trainers will also be available, along with organisations such as the YMCA, which is a specialist in helping people get into the jobs market.
There will also be information for single parents and long-term unemployed.
The Jobsfair is open from 1pm to 4pm. Contact 0845 6060234 for more details.
