A TOWN will be lifted by a music festival which will include classical concerts and flamenco nights.
Bishop Auckland Music Festival will include street entertainment, concerts and music workshops in Wear Valley district schools.
The festival, which runs from today until Sunday, aims to share music of all genres with all generations with a series of free and ticketed events.
London flamenco group, Prensa O Palique, will visit local schools today then perform at Bishop Auckland Town Hall, at 7.30pm.
There will be street performances in the town centre on Saturday and the festival will end with an Indian music master class at the town hall on Sunday, with a free Indian buffet at 5pm.
Tickets are available from (01388) 602 610 or at the door, priced £4 adults and £2 concessions.
