AN opportunity for adults who think they might be dyslexic has been launched in Newton Aycliffe.
The Dyslexia Institute, Pioneering Care Centre and Learndirect are working together to offer a free course on computer skills.
At the same time, an adult dyslexia expert will give free tuition in skills such as spelling, reading, study skills and memory strategies.
Each adult on the course will be able to work on what they need to learn at their own pace. Successful classes are already running in Darlington and Stockton.
The Newton Aycliffe course will run on Thursdays at the Pioneering Care Centre, off Burn Lane, between 1pm and 3pm, starting on October 7.
There will be no charge for any part of the course or any materials.
Places will be limited. Any adult who thinks they might be dyslexic and would like to find out more is asked to contact Amanda Iceton on (01325) 321234 or Jenny Lee, from the Dyslexia Institute, on (01833) 640011.
