MORE than 4,000 people have now seen a small-scale, low-budget film about a North-East industry.
A Century in Stone, about Teesside ironstone miners, has been a surprise hit.
The film, by Craig Hornby, has been showing at the UGC cinema, in Middlesbrough.
More than 700 people have paid to see the film at the UGC about the long-closed ironstone mines at Eston, in Middlesbrough.
However, more than 3,700 people have seen it at clubs and halls across Teesside.
Today is the last showing at the UGC, with screenings at 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 8pm.
Its next showing will be at Great Broughton Village Hall on October 8. Entry will be £3.50 at the door
